I hereby accept said challenge under the following terms: I can do my own deadlift weight. 315# would probably literally kill me. Can you agree to these terms?
275 is a lot for me, I haven't deadlifted in...forever. I'll see how it feels. No worries, I won't try to cheat the system. I'm pumped after watching the 8:30 class do work.
AHHHHHHH SO MUCH PRESSURE!!! If I can do 315 for 3 reps and 4 rounds, I'll do it. If my form sucks, my back breaks, I snap in half, bleed out, and die, then I'll have to back off a little. Simple as that. I can't even squat 315 as a 1 RM yet (that's my 6 month goal), so I'm just saying I'll do my best, but I can't work miracles. Sheesh.
Well if it makes you feel any better my 1RM backsquat is 315# and my 1RM dead is 405#. So your dead should be higher than your squat. But after watching you crank out 20 reps of 225# at the in-house I'm inclined to believe you are stronger than you think.
Didn't realize my challenge would lead to this kinda comment heckling...but I kinda like it!
I hear my POLS prof saying, "IF YOU DON'T GET YOUR DANG PAPER DONE THAT'S DUE AT 5, THEN YOU WON'T EVEN MAKE IT TO CROSSFIT TODAY!" And on that note, I'm off to contemplate political competition, parties, demographic trends, policy outcomes, and the like. Heckling makes me cry, and it's tough to read my notes and paper with all these tears in my eyes.
hehe, kidding. Bring on the brownies. I promise on my third cousin's mom's grandmother's sister's bestfriend's great-granddaughter's lunch that I'll crank the weight up to whatever I can do. I'll have Zach OK it. And with that, I'm off to write. I may not even post my time till later tonight just to keep you on edge. Or maybe tomorrow. Or sunday?
11:09 with 295#. Sorry to disappoint with the weights. My problem is that I've recently realized that I've been starting with my hips too low, power clean style, and I'm trying to get my hips up. Even with 295# I seriously failed on my form. If you think I skipped a round, you can talk to Jesse, who got a nine something. I was just trying to keep up with that guy.
Good question daren - they look a little too excited about it. Ha
ReplyDeleteWOD - 14:26 w/ 315#
